3. Apply for FTZ Subzone Designation
Companies with large or specialized operations may not be suited to general-purpose warehouse storage or find it cost prohibitive to relocate equipment to an existing FTZ-designated site. In those cases, Georgia Foreign-Trade Zone can request FTZ subzone status on behalf of the company. The Foreign-Trade Zones Board primarily bases approval upon the benefit(s) FTZ procedures would provide the local economy.
